Typing
Type when it’s faster.
Write when it isn’t.
Typed text sits on the same page as your handwriting. Outline with the keyboard, then circle, arrow and scribble over it with the pen.
A typed outline, marked up by hand on the same page.
How it works
Keyboard and pen, on one page.
Start typing on any page and a text block appears where you are. Move it like ink.
For essays and reports, document mode gives you one clean column of text.
Markdown shortcuts for headings, lists and checklists. No menus needed.
LaTeX equations, tables that grow as you type, and code blocks.
Up close
Lab reports, without the fight.
Type an equation in LaTeX and it is set like a textbook. Add a table for your measurements, then mark the pattern you spotted with the pen.
Shortcuts

FAQ
About typing.
Can I write on top of typed text?
Yes. Typed blocks and handwriting share the page, so you can circle a sentence, draw an arrow to it or highlight it.
Do I need to know LaTeX?
No. Simple things like x^2 or a/b work as you would expect, and a / command inserts fractions, roots and symbols.
Can I export a document for class?
Yes. Export typed notes and documents as PDF, Word (DOCX) or Markdown.
Can I edit typed notes on the web?
Yes. On the web you can edit typed notes fully. Handwritten pages open read-only there.
